Hi folks.

I've started gathering up material from work and from my DA recently with the goal of creating a personal portfolio. Finally I believe I have enough to create a somewhat good portfolio.

It will be like a showreel, a video with music that is. Now my problem is that I can't come up with what music I should use. I have, however come to some conclusions.

* Not too slow music. Don't want people to fall asleep.
* Singin is okej, as long as the lyrics aren't stealing the attention of the showreel.

Somehow it should also fit me.. and my personality. It's always easier to choose something like this for others (in my opinion). When I need to choose something for myself I always get stuck.

I've also thought some about wether or not I can use copyrighted songs. What do you guys think? Is it okey to use copyrighted music if I give them credit in the end? Or do I need to find non-copyrighted music?

There will be both still images (with a slight camera movement applied to them) and animations.

Also, any recommended programs? I'm thinking Premier.. even though it's a bit heavy. And no. Not windows movie maker.


On a completely different note, I still haven't got the papers to my drivers lisence regarding the change of my last name. Like, sometimes when I shop and I use my credit card, which still has my old last name on it, and they ask for my signature, I become really uncertain of what to write. :/
